The foundation for strength, resilience, self esteem and self-confidence begins with knowing that we are safe in the world. This foundation allows our body and our mind to function as it was intended: living life with passion, courage and adventure instead of living from defence and fear. This is the ideal.
So how do we give that to our children?
In looking for a structure or a system to help me with guidance I went back to the ancient Eastern Chakra system. The answer: With Love; to make them feel safe and secure so they build good self-esteem and self-confidence. Easy – right? Here’s some more;

The chakra system has seven levels of innate intelligence expressed psychologically, emotionally, physically as well as energetically.
There is Great wisdom available in studying the chakra system. It teaches us how we could live the ideal.
For our teenagers I like to focus mainly at the first three levels: the Base chakra, the sacral chakra and the solar plexus.
So lets start with the foundation – the Base or root chakra. This bottom level represents our basic needs.
More traditionally our truly basic needs (according to psychologist Maslow with his hierarchy of needs) were for food, water and shelter. Now-adays in recognition of our more emotional needs it also includes being taken care of, loved and accepted. From the teaching of the chakra system we know this is the role of the family. The relationship with the parent, especially the primary care giver; usually the mother, is paramount to how the infant interprets its level of safety.
During the infant and early childhood years up until going to school, the child learns from the parents and the family. They learn how the world works and how they fit in. They absorb the values, beliefs traditions, habits and programming of the family. The degree to which they are loved and accepted will determine their self-esteem. This is the degree to which the child can say “I’m OK. I am safe here”. Resilience is formed here.
If for any reason the child feels that these needs are not being met they will feel unsafe. If the negative experience is strong enough ie shock, threat, fear, fright or dread then their foundation is shaken. The nervous system interprets this as either they are faulty or unworthy or that the environment is not safe and they are vulnerable and programs itself to adapt to the perceived threatening environment. The nervous system is now operating in defence and is vigilant for further threat. This is the stress response that leads to anxiety, depression, eating disorders and many other forms of mental stress.
Hopefully most of us grew up in a warm loving home environment. Unfortunately the vast majority of clients I see, adults as well as children, have unresolved early childhood trauma and it is generally the root cause of anxiety, depression, fear and lack of motivation. Please realise- This is their perception of the situation and how it affected them – this is not about fault or blame. Everyone has done their best.
So If you think your teenager may have anxiety, depression or a lack of motivation then I am able to resolve it quickly and effectively. Through muscle testing I have a way of accessing the stored memories and clearing them permanently. Give your self or your teenager the gift of resilience and the courage to live life with passion and confidence.
